LEONARK Black 350N Light Hema Sparring Jacket Double Fastening Overlays for HEMA Longsword Rapier Sabre Armoury

Our HEMA Light Sparring Jacket by LEONARK is designed specifically for HEMA practitioners and is constructed from a 350N rated puncture resistance composite fabric with an inner lining. The jacket features a lower weight, breathable construction, and waist adjustment. 

The jacket features less padding and is better suited to single hand weapons such as rapier and sabre. This jacket has no padding on the back as it is very rare to receive effective blows here - especially from rapiers and sabres. It also does not have padding on the inside of the arms. This has the effect of reducing the weight of the jacket whilst increasing the breathability. 

Materials: Constructed from a 350N rated puncture resistance composite fabric with an air mesh inner lining. The jacket features a lower weight, breathable construction, and waist adjustment.

Versatility: At the elbows and shoulders it has mounting points for additional pads. The sleeves are equipped with straps, allowing you to attach additional overlays. It is suitable for HEMA beginners as well as the HEMA enthusiast.

Protection: Padded collar features a blade catcher to help protect against stray thrusts. Also in the front and on the upper arms, this jacket is padded with 8mm 20x foaming XPE panels to provide a double-layer of protection against thrusts to the torso.

Design: The jacket's front tab is finished with a gray band. And there is a waist adjustment strap at the back which allows it to be pulled in at the waist for a more streamlined fit. It has double fastening - a zipper and Velcro.

Breathability: The jacket is light in weight with less padding whilst increasing the comfort and breathability. With waist adjustment, it conforms to the body perfectly without losing mobility during your movement.

In order to make it easier to attach additional overlays and to increase the comfort of wearing it during sports, the forearm position is very snug in design, so it can be a bit difficult to put on and take off the jacket.
Keep in mind that depending on the intensity of your training, you should have properly selected overlays!
